My blog picture above is located in the beautiful, scenic Sedona, Arizona. We vacationed there at the end of December, 2019 thru January 2020 - right around when the pandemic began. What a chaotic year it was, too! A scary time for all of us!

I am hoping that this blog will show my creativity, heart, and soul, and reveal a little more of myself. I'm a shy person at heart and don't post too much in Newsfeed, but I love reading what others are saying.

I'm off to post my first blog...

Iremember that was their reason to start Daylight Savings Time. Why they keep this up is confusing.
Some states ignore this all together. I wish mine did!

Daylight savings time when it originated was to benefit farmers and seasonal workers but those days are long gone. I don't understand why it is still happening when it doesn't matter. Other than it disrupts our sleep patterns.

It takes me almost a week to adjust and then when it falls back I have to readjust... grrr.

Really, there are some still in California? Then drive-in didn't completely fall by the wayside.
I never really cared about black-and-white films. I do like sci-fi though.
The fly sounds familiar, I think I've seen it... The Hand and The Blob don't ring a bell.

There are still some around in California anyway just not many and are also usually used during the day for swapmeets on Saturday and Sundays. Many people Use to get in by the car full because it was cheaper.

Actually the invasion if the Bidy Snatchers was a black and white rerun so it had to have been made in possibly mid 1950s. It wasn't very scary. More like a Scifi.

What I got a kick if was many years later was almost better made . The Hand, The Blob. It was something to joke about.

The Fly though was classic. I like the Jeff Goldbum version of it best.

Yes, drive-ins were fun. I don't think I could watch the Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Sounds scary!

Too bad drive-ins aren't around anymore, but I guess they were going broke with not many people coming anymore.

Well yes I remember the drive-in movies too. I kind of liked it, except the time we had to leave early, right after the first movie started, because someone was sick. Can't avoid that. I was about 10 then. Later we I stead went to the wall in movies , mostly seeing Jerry Lewis ones.

Mostly I remember seeing drive-in movies, in my teens, like dumb Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I was too young to have alcohol, but that might have made it even more entertaining. We mostly laughed at them.

My most memorable drive-in movie experience was when I took my aging mother to the drive in. She'd never before been to the drive in. We saw Conan the Barbarian. We got there late so we ended up parked in the edge where the car would be slightly slanted sideways. Regardless we enjoyed that movie.

The second movie was one called Everything you wanted to know about Sex with Woody Allen in it. I knew it would be funny but still I didn't want to somehow expose my mother's mind to perversion, so I asked her if we should leave or not.

She said no, let's see it.

And so I hesitated but then decided that if she's okay with it, then I'm okay with it.

It was fun to watch, but also fun to see her laughing. . I'll never forget that moment.

I agree with you on that as far as the weather not staying consistent and being what we considerto be Spring weather.

I hate when it dries that. One day it's sunny, like today. It was warm enough to sit outside in my patio, without a sweater on,and drank my coffee. Yet tonight the temperature will drop drastically, and maybe tomorrow it will be rainy and cold.

It's enough to make people sick. Lately I e had to low my nose often or it gets itchy and drives me crazy. I've not been sick in about 2l3 years and would like to stay that way.

Oh my Minnesota. I heard the weather gets pretty cold there.

I agree, even if it says Spring on the calendar doesn't make it so.
It's still chilly in Minnesota, yesterday it was 46 degrees, and today it's 26 degrees.
We have the yo-yo effect going on.

Octoberfest at Dark Dreamscapes

I got a big surprise when entering the four week challenge. One day I clicked on "Invalid Item"

I discovered that I enjoy writing dark poems. This is why I entered so many times at Dark Dreamscape. I never wrote any poems before, but when I decided to become a member of WDC, this is when it all changed. I follow some rules pertaining to poetry, but mostly I just write what I feel.

Just had to document the greatest day of my life. Thanks again, Darlene, for creating this great contest!

Do We Have Dictators In The U.S.?

When the government knows everything about you, that's tyranny; but when we know everything about the government, that's democracy. - This is how things should be, but is it? Do we really want the government to know everything about us? I don't! They want to give us free money so they can control us. They hate people working and taking care of themselves and their families. This way they can't control us. Beware of all their government handouts! They don't do this without an agenda attached to it.

President Biden wants vaccine mandates! This really isn't a law, but big corporations follow this mandate, making it almost impossible to work without getting the jab. Where did all our freedoms go? I thought we can think for ourselves on what we put in our bodies. The democrats hate the constitution - Some of the rhino republicans do too. All of us were born free, and these power-hungry politician want to take these freedoms away from us.

One of them is Mayor de Blasio of New York City. He wants all the firemen to get the jab. If not, they will be laid off. If all firemen walk off their jobs, who will put out the fires? Don't you think this is stupid? This is dictatorship in my eyes. Many other democrat governors follow suit who love power and dictate to the people on what they want done. Governors like Whitmer of Michigan and Bowser of DC, or mayors like Lightfoot of Chicago and De Blasio of NYC, they love to dictate to their people! There are others like California's governor Gavin Newsom, etc.

Hello, socialism! If we don't stand up for our rights we will lose our country! We must fight for our freedoms! If your voice had no power, they wouldn't try to silence us. Right? So fight for your rights, people! I really don't want the U.S. to be a Socialist country which can turn into communism so easily. Want to stand in a bread line? Bernie Sanders thinks this is a good thing.

They took the guns away from the Australians and New Zealand. Now they are in big trouble if they don't take the jab. Their freedoms are in jeopardy and what I hear is going on, tears come to my eyes. Check out https://www.brighteon.com/ who supports your freedoms to speak - (they give live daily broadcast). Here you'll find out the news that the main street media will never tell you. Ignorance is bliss to them, so everyone will act like sheep and follow the leader on the democratic policies.
