Dare I ask, why would you ever spend more than two seconds in an internet chatroom? They are one of the signs of the Apocalypse. I think these people all use abbreviations hoping they will someday be noticed by a court stenographer.
As for LOL, I wish it was a crime punishable by public execution.
The mortgage company uses an automatic dialer, that's why you get called so many times a day and why there's always that pause before they say anything. They aren't aware of who the dialer is calling and they don't hear the ringing in their ear like someone using a regular phone would. So suddenly a number pops up on their computer monitor and that means you've already said hello. If they're not paying attention, it seems like this long pause before they say hi.
I know because I used to work on an automatic dialer. I used to feel really bad when I'd call the same people over and over, sometimes within a few minutes of the last call!
Ask to speak to a manager and make him tell you he's taking your number out of the dialer.
I don't like sleeping through a tornado watch ... after living in Oklahoma in a trailer ... nope, I'd rather stay up! I love storms ; I just don't trust them.
I passed those milestones years ago. The cure for getting older lies in the cemetery. No one's getting older there!
So ... when things get tough I just think of the alternative.
I once looked younger than what I was but my hair has thinned and greyed, so no hiding that! I remember what an elderly friend said when she was in her 70s or 80s ... "I don't feel any older than 35!"
Preferring to date a certain race is a race preference, not a cultural preference. That'd be like me saying that I only date white men, whether they be from the southern culture or northern culture, which isn't true. I prefer men of culture, period, meaning non-redneck, non-hoodrat, non-welfare-dependent, non-living-in-parents-basement men.
If I'm not attracted to someone, that means they're unattractive to me. That doesn't mean they are ugly. It is OK for someone who is good looking to be unattractive to some people and attractive to others, just like it's OK for someone who might not be good looking to everyone to be attractive to some and unattractive to others.
And saying you aren't attracted to a certain race might not necessarily mean you're racist, but when you make a general statement that says, "I'm not attracted to black men," how can it sound anything but racist?
