I do not know where to begin with this description. The time period is from 0 to now. Please don't ask how long that is. I am sure with certain clues, you will be able to figure that out.
I am writing this on my favorite old computer at home. I have a computer room that doubles as a retreat for a few of my pets when they want to be alone.
I will cover mostly current thoughts. I hope to add some pictures as I have seen in a blog. I think that to do this sharing will take a lot of work, but the pictures I have seen are well worth it.
Occasionally, I might review a flashback in mylife. I have times when I just roll that special even around in my mind until it has every possible facet examined. Usually this time is to try to figure out a "what if" scenario.
If some of my items have no zest to it feel free to say so. I think that after I have some a few trial runs, then the real me will be out for all of the world to see. Luck you! As the saying goes, "Come with me and the best is yet to be."
Thank you to Soldier Mike for your read and special comments. I like the mention that the acronym is something personal. I would need a little help with X's or Qs. I had a Quincy in my class one time. He wasn't quick or quiet. I knew that he asked a lot of questions so 'Questioning' seemed to fit. He did not mind, and he enjoyed the word. If a person had a short name then I allowed the student to use their last name. I always wanted my students to have a good day.
These Blog writings are thought provoking and fun.
So since it is Spring, let me wish you and your family a nice Springtime. I was glad to see the last snow we had melted. I can take longer walks and go outside to write more.
Take care !
Soldier Mike
Thank you for your read and response on this blog. I usually keep my t-shirts for a long time. Then when they do not have to good as new look I either use them as undershirts to become a layer in winter or pajama wear. I have shirts that I bought when I went to different cities for the U. S. National Fencing tournaments that I qualified for. The older ones/shirts I keep as a way to remember the where and when I went.
As for the jeans, I seem to have gained a little weight since I retired from my sport. You can't lose it if you don't burn those calories. One cannot fence in jeans. A fencer must wear all white. White jeans are really hard to find. So the blue jeans are part of my travel ensemble.
My jeans are usually blue, elastic waist and not tapered in the legs. I grew up in the country so that style reminds me of home. I did not live on a farm but tried to help with yard work. Weeding flowerbeds in particular. It helped me see nature and find special animals. (baby birds, lizards, snakes, caterpillars, and such.)
Well I have shared enough and thank you for your reaction.
Have a nice day.
Happy Spring time.
Picking the right clothing can be a challenge, especially if, as you say, your preferred size regularly becomes unavailable. I have enough t-shirts to last the rest of my life (and I've owned some more than half my life), so jeans are my most "frequent" purchase; as I'm no longer part of the rough-and-tumble set, they last quite a while. Color selection's easy: black, tan or basic blue go with anything and support my severely limited fashion sense.
I accidentally clicked on liked. So the like comment should be only 1. I will try to find the way to correct it.
Thank you for the like. I try to write about something special to me. I like doing something unique. These prompts are good and comment worthy. Have a nice week.
Wow! That is some list. You have lots to blog about. Can't say I have anything on my list to compare to yours. I am interested in the Olympic sport, what have you done with your degree in audiology (music?)?
Which president did you meet and for how long?
I will go from here over to your bio and see what things you have written. I write mostly poetry and was away for awhile so I have nothing new posted except on my blog. I am hoping to get back in to poetry.
Los Angeles has been through an experience that no one or no city should have to live through. The scenes shown. On television shows only pictures of after the fire has gone through their community. Everything has been lost. Fire takes no prisoners.
We have not discussed our thoughts of a plan but I mentioned the need to have copies of important papers, bank account information, next of kin and other things. More important is the rescuing of our animals who are our family. My cat needs medicine so that is critical to me. My husband has a good memory in the places that hold health certificates, immunizations and others.
We are fortunate in the fact that we live about a couple of miles from the nearest relatives. Unless the fire is similar to the Los Angeles kind, we would go to his step son’s house. If the area of fire is larger, since my husband has lived I the area for a while,, we would go to a place that is safe. (Not many trees or flammable items. )This may sound too easy, but we know that there are4 many other people who would be evacuating,, so plan B is to go to his sister’s house which is an hour’s time away. This is all dependent of where the fire is going and how much we can take.
I think everyone should make a plan A, B,, and C. WE know that people might be panicking. We need to have an evacuation box or bag. Also needed is all of our medicines since we are old and need them. If possible we need to buy extra charging cords and a few handy clothes.
Finally we always want to take good care of our cars or go to a place for gasoline and make sure we have enough gas. I’m sure there might be one or two more ideas, but our survival is important if we complete and remember the basics.
