Conference at Badasht1:
To The Bab

July 1848
the Babi Faith
was established
as an independent religion.

Baha'u'llah rented three gardens,
one for Quddus,
one for Tahirih,
and one for Himself,
while the rest of the Babi's
gathered around the gardens.

Each believer received a new name,
each day a law of Islm was repealed,
each day a religious tradition was abandoned,
and each day a tablet was revealed;
thus by the hand of Him Whom God Would Make Manifest2
the Babi--
and ultimately the Baha'i faith--
was established
as an independent religion.

It was at this conference,
that Tahirih removed her veil
and walked from her garden
to the one occupied by Baha'u'llah
to confer with Quddus,
Mullá Husayn,
and Baha'u'llah.

Even though
the Bab was not physically present at Badasht,
He was there
in the hearts of the believers.
