Breaking Down My Day
Istijlál (Majesty), 19 Raḥmat (Mercy) 175 B.E. - Thursday, July 12, 2018

Neighborhood noises
somewhere people are talking:
their outside voices.

The Wildcard Round for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS
I'd like you to detail your day for us - break it down into your daily routine. But then, if you are up to it, put a twist on it. Give us the same routine as if it was either 100 years in the past or 100 years in the future.

Breaking Down My Day

Life is easier consumed
when broken down into the bite size pieces
of morning, afternoon, and evening.

Movement through life
is frustrating
when letting go of the past
is as difficult
as seeing into the future.

Each day the routine
either varies
or doesn't vary
depending on appoints
and personal issues.

No matter what century
I inhabit,
my day begins with prayer
and coffee.

Catching up on news,
whether it is local, national,
international, or interplanetary
is a must.

Some duties
are scattered throughout the day
like reading e-mail
and completing surveys.

A pause for lunch
(not always at noon)
to feed my body
and my soul.

Evening
scripture readings
before attempting to sleep,
which comes at one
or two hour intervals
throughout the night.
