Dear Sunday,
Perhaps,
I should call you Jamál,
or Beauty,
because that is how I think of you.

You are the Day of Beauty,
the day I attempt
to establish plans
for the next six days.

You are the day,
I go to devotional services
at the Baha'i Center
in Las Vegas.

You are the day,
that brings back fond memories
of Grandma Mary
and Grandpa Frank.

You are the most beautiful day of the week
because of the reasons
I mentioned.
