Can Beaver pay off the National Debt?

"Hey Wally! Could you loan me some money?" Beaver asks.
"Well, I'm a little tight on money. I have bills to pay." Wally answered.
"It's really important the country is going broke!" Beaver grabbed Wally.
"Ah.. How much money are we talking about?" Wally broke free.
"22 trillion dollars!" Beaver looked terrified.

"Okay.. Beaver are you talking about the national debt?" Wally smiled.
"I thought maybe we could pool our money and send it to Washington." Beaver replied.
Wally puts his arm over his buddy, "That wouldn't be enough for the Federal government."
Wally sat Beaver at his kitchen table.
"You see the Federal Reserve loans money to the Federal government." Wally explained.

"It will never be payed off. It's a revolving account." Wally continued.
"Revolving account?" Beaver sipped some coco.
"Yup. As long as the Federal government can pay the interest on the loan, it's okay." Wally smiled.
Beaver looked down at the marshmallows in his coco, "Will never be out of debt."
Wally shrugged, "If the gross national product increases we can pay more off the loan."

"Gosh. I hope I get a raise." Beaver smirks.
