Celebrating the two hundredth Anniversaries of The Birth of Baha'u'llah and The Bab |
Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, it is only through the might of the Omniscient that I can create rhythm and rhyme, or inscribe stanza and line to proclaim the glory of Your revelation. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, if not for the power of the Almighty, I would be unable to proclaim Your name to humanity. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, I intone my exaltation to the All-Possessing each time I chant "Alláh-u-Abhá!" Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, please bestow upon me the honor of praising the All-Powerful throughout eternity. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, please help me find the metaphors and similes to describe my limited understanding of the majesty of the All-Wise. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, when I meditate upon the grandeur of the Incomparable I am struck speechless, and unable to find the necessary words. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, give me the strength to express my gratitude to the Gracious for the soul cleansing tests of this material life. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, assist me to compose odes hinting at the sovereignty of the Helper. Oh, Thou Blessed Beauty, I contemplate the magnificence the All-Glorious, and give thanks for the words that bring comfort to my mind and soul. Poet's Note: ▼ Footnotes |
