Brilliant Writing Ideas
Prompt: Joy asked us what brilliant ideas do we get and how do we get them? What wins us over?

When I was in St. Augustine, Florida, I saw a man walking down by the shops in an old settlement and he was dressed like a pirate. For a minute, I thought he was Captain Jack Sparrow! He smiled at me and said "Hi." I was won over. I got the idea to write a story about a pirate who meets a bar wrench and he was on a mission to find his kidnapped sister. This was a romance and it took place in St. Augustine, Florida by the Spanish Fort and the settlement near by.

Other times, I get a writing idea from watching TV, reading books, people I know and occasionally, dreams. I also get ideas for writing from quotes, paintings or images. Being a Jane Austen buff and "wanna be Jane Austen Historian", I research her and reread her books and get my ideas for stories like her.

Sometimes driving down the road, an idea will hit me. Ex-boyfriends make for good villians. Story ideas are every where.
