Day 19 - Funny Cat at High Speeds

April 19th
Write a poem about the funniest thing one of your pets has ever done. (Watching "The World's Funniest Dogs" on NatGeo, and I couldn't resist this prompt.)

Respectable
Dignified
By all appearances... looking just right...
But then the full moon swings high in the sky
And what was once calm, cool and collected
Bristles with quirky energy
That blasts through the system
Causing my mild mannered cat
To run at top speeds
That even she can't control...
Flying down the stairs
She slides out when she hits the linoleum,
But manages to find some footing
Before dashing down the hall
The slide and crash into the stove
Alert the human folk
Who come to see what is the matter
As she walks in dignified regalness
To the back door
Glaring at our audacity
To laugh at her and her antics.
