Protecting Yourself

Prompt: Outside of the sun, what are some things you need to do protect yourself in the summer and the winter?

Tornados and rain. Run for cover. Don't allow your car to get over heated. Take a cooler when you buy groceries to keep frozen foods cold. Plants can get too much sun. Water them everyday. Always drink plenty of cold fluids if you are outside on a hot day. Wear shoes or sandals or shoes of some kind. Pavement and sand get hot. Keep your pets in the shade and give them plenty of water. Don't start a fire if it has been dry for days. A wind will spread a fire. No one wants that.

Winter. Drive slow in snow. Take extra clothing and blankets in case your car breaks down. Check your pipes so they don't freeze. Don't drive fast when it snows or you have freezing rain. Winterize your car before winter. It is a good idea.
