Lucky Penny
Prompt: Write a poem or a short story about a lucky penny or a superstition.
This isn't a short story or poem but I got to thinking. Pennies take up so much space in one's wallet. My husband and I put them in a big jar and save them then turn them into cash. I get more excited over dimes, quarters and big cold coins with Native Americans on them. I have three of them and I like the cool nickels with half a buffalo or half of a President's face. Back to pennies. I remember a poem about Old Mother Witch fell in a ditch, found a penny and thought she was rich! Shiny new pennies are so neat. I guess pennies can bring good luck. If you have a sick kitty with distemper, you put a penny in their milk and it helps them feel better. Penny loafers. Put a penny in your shoe in the slot provided. Maybe it helps if you have foot pain. Pennies from Heaven. You can't go wrong there. This is all I have say about pennies. Find a penny and have good luck all day.
