I managed to get him into detox for two days. Did it help? Not really...
They put him on methadone which he felt was making him sick so he signed himself out.
We've actually been getting along better which is partly because of the changes in myself. I was fighting a losing battle which only ended up with us fighting. So now I simply distance myself and when he's cranky and yells all the time I block it out for as long as I can. We rarely fight anymore.
He's trying extra hard to hide his addiction from me, or maybe he actually is trying to conquer it as he says. He got some methadone from a friend and tells me that he no longer takes or snorts the oxycontin. However, I found a straw he used for snorting them and switched it for a new one. Tomorrow when I check I will know the truth. If the straw is clean he's telling the truth. If it's not, he's in an even more dangerous situation than before because then he's mixing the methadone with the oxycontin.
