Village People
So today was do-stuff-in-Greenwich-Village Day.
Which for me meant chilling my heels on the curb on Canal Street while the womenfolk ducked into various cheap-accessory boutiques in search of bargains.
Meanwhile there's people all over the sidewalk selling counterfeit Rolexes, Buittons, and Coaches. They set up and break down quicker than three-card-monty grifters, because the penalty for getting caught selling a knockoff purse is apparently something like 7 years and $1,000,000.
Note to New Yorkers and tourists:
It's called a sidewalk for a reason. It's not a sidestandaroundandgawk.
