Gaute And Anya
--Gaute & Anya--

Plucking a blade of green grass near him, Gaute let the morning dew trickle down his hands.
A cool satisfaction left a hint of smile on his lips and he casually pulled a beautifully
crafted mask to hide it. He mused for a minute on his mask, and then grinning in some secrecy,
tugged on the rim of his green magician hat to greet the rising Sun. He sat down, his turtle
green cape fluttering down beside him. He ran a delicate finger on the length of his wand, his
eyes gazing eagerly at the silent power that was locked within it. Here he mused again,
watching the Sun bask him in its warmth.

"Mornin'," whispered a voice in his ear. A grin aroused his face as someone hugged him from
behind.

"Morning to you, Anya.." His voice trailed off as she came to sit by him in one fluid motion.
The brownish tan of her scarf wrapped around her neck highly complimented her dark brown hair
that fell in smooth curls around her shoulders. He couldn't help but stare agape at her. Smiling
sweetly and unsuspectingly, Anya gently guided Gaute's arms around her in an embrace. At her touch
Gaute jerked awake from his daydream and brought her closer to him, thanking the gods of masks
that she couldn't see his face.

"Hungry?" Anya whispered to his ears again as he released her. Without waiting for an answer
Anya reached behind her to bring out a large basket. The basket was a beautiful work of art,
glazed with a shiny coat of some sort...

"Gaute?" Gaute jerked out of his daydream again, like a fish out of the water. Anya laughed into
her hands before brushing her loose hair behind her ears. "You can't eat with a mask on..."
Her eyes flashed knowingly at him.

"Psh, I can." Gaute patted his mask proudly, looking back at her defiantly. Anya inched closer to
him.

"No you can't." She smiled at him, and Gaute chuckled to himself watching the mischievious eyes
of hers following him.

"Can too." He folded his arms across his chest, and Anya sat back. Instantly, as if shocked by
a jolt of electricity she shot up and with a playful grin she reached for his mask. He caught
both her wrists easily and yawned. He smirked at her, as she struggled to get loose of his hold.
She was so beautiful, her body so strong yet fragile in its aesthetic beauty...
They struggled for a minute or two, before Gaute won and Anya sunk to the grass. Still holding
onto her Gaute landed on her gently. She broke into a soft laughter, and Gaute let her voice
ring in his ears. She sighed and Gaute lifted a bit of his mask to reveal his lips and slowly,
painstakingly...he kissed her.
