If you’re a newbie and haven’t already, please visit our "Noticing Newbies"  forum to introduce yourself and meet other newbies, and/or "Writing.Com General Discussion" to chat with other members about a variety of topics. Either forum is a good place to mingle with your fellow Writing.com members.Well, it's officially summertime and man-oh-man, it's hot in Alabama! If the heat is on in your neck of the woods, why not spend your summer at the coolest place on the net... Writing.Com! Join a couple of community activites and have some fun with your fellow members. There are literally hundreds to choose from and I'm sure there's one to spark your interest. You might also consider entering a contest. Even if you don't win, you'll make new friends and receive helpful, encouraging reviews in the process. If you haven't already, create a community activity of your own. In & Outs, Creative Campfires, Madlibs and Interactive Stories are a great way to meet new people and get other members into your port. Create an In & Out picnic and ask everyone to drop by for hotdogs, lemonade, home-made ice cream and cool conversation. Invite a few friends to sit around your campfire and talk about what they did this summer. If nothing else, it should help keep those creative juices flowing!
