Feline Flying
I'm standing in front of my apartment, talking with a friend about my new cat.
"But I though you were allergic to cats?" he says.
"Yeah, but this is an outdoor cat, so it's kinda OK. Besides, you gotta see the tricks she does!"
The cat, a small grey and white shorthair, runs across the yard chasing a dove. The bird takes flight and the cat follows it, soaring across the sky.
The cat cruises along, up about fifteen feet in the air, seemingly able to fly on sheer willpower alone. The dove is outpacing it though, and soon flies well beyond reach. Then the cat stops in midair, as if it just realized that it can't possibly fly, and falls tumbling
through the air. At the last minute it manages to right itself and land softly on all fours.
"Well I'll be damned! That's the most amazing thing I've ever seen! Do you wanna sell that cat?"
