Glorious Sunsets
Prompt: E.E. Cummings said, “Peering from some high window, at the gold of a November sunset and feeling that if day has to become night, this is a beautiful way.” When you look out your window, what do you see when the day ends?
Usually if I'm looking West where the sun is setting. I can see it from my back porch or my kitchen windows. The sun falls behind a horizon of trees that grow across the road behind a neighbor's house. I look for the colors of the sky which can be quite awesome at times. West is also where most storms show up first. Or I may notice the road if I hear automobiles going by. Everything slants downhill from my home.
There is an infamous swamp in those woods behind Kim's home. Bears, bobcats, all kinds of birds, deer, fox, you name it. If it is a wild forest beast it probably lives in that swamp. I watch the sky a lot. Sometimes freak storms come from the East direction behind my house those are the worst storms we have.
