Sixty and Ten
Sixty and Ten

It took me a little longer to finish the sixty single sentences for my single-sentence Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project than I thought it would. I thought it would take me a couple of hours, three at the most, to finish writing Episode Four and these Outlines. But it took me about four hours instead.

Unfortunately, that extra hour meant I only got ten single paragraphs written of Part One of my single-paragraph Story Outline. That means I not only got the Teaser Act for this Outline finished, but I also got the first paragraph written for Act One. It also means I still have forty-four more single paragraphs to write for Part One of this Movie Introduction.

Overall, I think it was a great day for my writing. Of course, I would have liked it to be a little better on this project. However, I only have a few hours to work on these single paragraphs. I was probably lucky that I got ten of them written. It could have been a lot worse. after the last few days, I expected it to be much worse.

Since this was a mixture of single sentences versus single paragraphs, I knew I wouldn’t get twenty to thirty single paragraphs written today. I hoped I would get about fifteen written today because of the single sentences. But I didn’t. It was barely ten. Why didn’t I get more written? It’s not just because of the time limitations.

The usual reason why I don’t get more written than I thought I should is because of what my brother and I had to do today. Unfortunately, I can’t blame it on that. My brother and I didn’t have anything we needed to do. That’s very usual for us. We sometimes don’t have too much we need to do. But I think this is the first time we had nothing.

I know it’s not because of a lack of sleep last night. It wasn’t eight hours or more. But it was about seven. I should have had plenty of time to work on this project. The lack of concentration is another story. It wasn’t that bad. But I did have some lack of concentration today. I don’t think that affected my writing more paragraphs, though.

What I think slowed me down slightly were the paragraphs themselves. I knew what I wanted to write. But I wasn’t sure how to write it in the four-line or five-line paragraphs I had for each of the six main character storylines. The three or four-scene numbers I had for each of these characters didn’t help me out too much either.

Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle had five lines for each paragraph. And Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra had four lines per paragraph. With three or four scene numbers for each character, I had to combine those three or four single sentences into a four or five-line paragraph. It wasn’t easy to do sometimes. That’s why I didn’t get more written today.

I know that I have something that needs to be done tomorrow morning. But it should be done in about an hour. So, I should have plenty of time to work on this project. At least I will depending on what my brother and I must do tomorrow. As far as I know, we don’t have anything we need to do. But I’m sure we do. I just don’t know about it yet.
