One Less Times Two
One Less Times Two

I still did very, very well earlier today at work. It just wasn’t quite as good as yesterday. It was one less for both my single paragraphs and my scenes. Yesterday I got sixty-four single paragraphs written and twenty scenes. Today it was sixty-three single paragraphs and nineteen scenes.

Why didn’t I get more written earlier today at work? That’s a very good question. Unfortunately, I do know the answer to that question. There were several reason why I didn’t get at least one more single paragraph and scene written. Those reasons include a lack of sleep, a lack of concentration, kind of busy at work, and a lot of erasing and rewriting.

All of these reasons have one thing in common: a lack of sleep. It wasn’t a typical Saturday afternoon. If I’m lucky enough I get about six hours of sleep on a Saturday. After all, I have a twelve-hour work shift on the weekends. As a result, I only get about six hours of sleep on a Saturday.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get that much sleep yesterday. It was more like about five hours. I don’t know why, but I couldn’t get to sleep yesterday afternoon. As a result, I only got about five hours of sleep. If not for that, the other problems I had today when it comes to my writing probably wouldn’t have happened.

Well, that isn’t exactly true. When it comes to a lack of sleep, a lack of concentration, and a lot of erasing and rewriting, that can be contributed to a lack of sleep yesterday, but it being kind of busy at work wasn’t because of a lack of sleep. It was because it was busy.

The weekend can sometimes get a little busy. Especially on a Saturday, but today it was a Sunday, and it was busier than it usually is. It wasn’t that bad, but it did take some time away from my writing. If I still had about a half hour more to work on my writing, I could have gotten three or four more single paragraphs written and one more scene.

What does that mean for next Thursday morning when I start my work week? it means that I have eleven more scenes left to write before I finish Episode One, Some of the Adults, of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I can get eleven scenes written in one day, but it’s unlikely that I will.

If it was the weekend, then I probably could get eleven scenes written in the first half of my shift, but during a weekday I usually do ten scenes. Sometimes I can do one more scene, but if anything, it’s a scene or two less. What that means I probably won’t get this episode done until Friday morning aka my second day at work.

It's the end of this episode, so there is a chance I could get eleven scenes written in one day. Even if that one day was a weekday. I’m not going to count on it until it happens, though. After all, it probably won’t happen. I hope it does, but it probably won’t happen.
