The Invisible Truth

"Dr. Neil Degrassi Tyson, can you help me?"
The little lady looked up at the famous astronomer.
"Of course, are you a student?" Neil queried.
The little lady giggled, "Yes."

"My name is Winkin. I am a feary."
Her green eyes twinkled.
Dr. Tyson smiled, "To what do I owe the honor?"
Winkin let her black cloak drop, revealing her firefly wings.

"That is impressive. Are you from another planet?"
Dr. Tyson looked at wings from many angles.
Winkin flew about his office.
"I am from the feary kingdom in the shadowland of nod."

Dr. Tyson's assistant walked in and yelped.
"What the hell is that?"
Neil waved him back, "This a friend Rob."
"The comedian. Yes, I watch your show."
Winkin giggled and brushed her wings against him.

Rob was not happy about this.
"Ah-could you not do that?"
Dr. Tyson grabbed Rob's shoulders and sat him down.
"He's not a scientist."
Winkin giggled and sat in a chair beside Rob.

"I want you to know that GIA is real," Winkin said to Rob.
Rob nodded as his eyes widened.
"She is very unhappy with the way she has been treated by men."
Neil sipped a bottled water, "What must we do?"

Winkin stretched and yawned.
"Stop polluting," Winkin yawned.
"But, you can't. So GIA will stop you.
Winkin looked directly at the astronomer.
"How?" Dr. Tyson queried.

Winkin was almost asleep in her chair.
"The plague will never stop."
Winkin made her statement and played her flute.
And with a snap of lighting Winkin vanished.
