} In Proverbs 9:7-10 Solomon contrasts correcting a mocker with correcting somebody with a little sense. Tell us your experience with this. It has been my experience that a made-up mind is hard to change. Herbert Spence once said "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance- that principle is contempt prior to investigation." If a person is a dead set on foolishness nothing a person can do to change their mind. I know a man who will look directly at scripture and swear it does not say what it very specifically says. These kinds of people I allow to think whatever they wish because ultimately we will all find out anyway. Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy and found this planet:
Did you ever have a cat or dog take something and blamed someone else? I had a dog eat my homework one time. Mom made me go to bed rather than rewriting the assignment. She called the teacher at home and told the teacher what had happened and that she had witnessed it. The teacher told Mom it was good that Mom called because she never would have believed it from me. She allowed me to make up the assignment. Prompt: "You’ll never get bored when you try something new. There’s really no limit to what you can do." ~ Dr. Seuss "Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect."~ Alan Cohen" Discuss one of the above quotes in your blog." I agree with both statements. I am going to go with Dr. Suess. Suess was told that he was insane. His books would never sell. Rumor says that his family had him committed to an asylum for being "delusional". We all know who won! My favorite expression is "Never say the sky is the limit for there are footprints on the moon." "Prompt: "Snow falling soundlessly in the middle of the night will always fill my heart with sweet clarity." Novala Takemoto Use this line in your Blog entry today." I disagree. I despise snow. |
