30 DBC - 26th September - Prompt: Is laughter the best medicine? Do you believe it really makes a difference with stress and our health? Share some laughter with us. For sure, I love laughing! It makes me feel so much better if I am grumpy or sad! Mind you, Chris knows that when I am grumpy with him, the last thing I want to do, is laugh! So, he tries even harder to make me laugh! For me, I love laughing. A really hard laugh can make everything so much better. Chris and I laugh everyday - mostly at each other being ridiculous. Last night, Chris told me I was obsurd! OBsurd? "You have a PhD, yet you call me obsurd! That's absurd, Chris!!" He is usually well presented - very clean and NEVER wears un-ironed clothes, which is good because he has a wardrobe full of ironed clothes. This morning he came down, ready for work and I just stared at him... Chris - "what?" Fran - "err are you ok?" Chris - "yeah just tired" Fran - "Yup I see that... are you trying to evident that fact?" Chris - "No, why? Fran - "Your hair is sticking up on end, and where did that shirt come from?" Chris - "It goes with my trousers..." Fran - "yeeeah because you have no other shirts that go with grey trousers! That's your only un-ironed shirt, isn't it? Chris - "Yup..." Chris - "I'm in a dishevelled mood" Fran - "Well, you look like you've slept in your clothes... I'd change if I were you" Chris - "Nahh, I look cool!" He came home tonight and said, "I looked in the mirror earlier, this shirt is awful - why didn't you make me change"... riiiiiiiight! As you can tell, I've been looking for funny videos. When I found my final video, I literally cried with laughter. I'm really don't know why I found it funny - I do not normally laugh at animal falls etc. But, for some reason, this got me. The maximum number of times to watch this is 2.5, any more and you'll start to feel guilty for laughing - if you don't to start with. That's my disclaimer, here's the video: In other news: I did my first speech of the school year today; only a 15 minute one to 11-12 year olds. It was fun, and I've realised, again, that I do enjoy what I do. I'm not quite ready for a real job! I really ought to do some reviewing this weekend. But I've got writing plans too. I currently have so many creative ideas in my head that I'm not sure where to start! I need to sit down tomorrow and work out my writing plans - do I want goals or not etc! hmm Today's Yellow Brick Chance school rotation theory feared Clues so far: I am not pregnant It has absolutely nothing to do with bricks 14th October 2014 I'm going somewhere I'm not actually leaving my city I've got four guests going with me! So, for the next twenty days, I will give you a yellow brick at the end of each (or most) of my blog entries. With each brick will be a clue pointing towards what my top secret secret is! You can all have one guess each day. The first person to guess correctly will win a Mystery MB from me. I will NOT tell you if you're right or wrong until I know I am allowed to announce. If I am allowed to announce before the end of the 30DBC, the clues will become more obvious. So, to sum up, use my daily clues to guess my secret. Be the first and you'll win a Mystery MB. |
