I so like people who can sing! I sound like a crow to myself when I try. Great that you're going out into the nature. I wish though, the concussion had not happened. So sorry you had to go through all that. I sometimes miss my words, too, and I didn't have a concussion. I'm just aging. Luckily when I write, we have Google and an online thesaurus. |
Geez, I calculated our trip out for the month and it was 109,455.00 a piece with airfare, average cost of meals at 150.00 per day, hotels, transportation, and our different daily adventures. Prices have certainly increased. You'll be happy I made some changes, we're spending less time in South Africa and going to Madagascar instead. I thought we needed more time near the water. I was very happy getting the spa treatment and enjoying some incredible coffee looking out those huge windows at the mountains. |
Virtual has some advantages when it comes to exploring different locations. I calculated our trip out for the month and it was 109,455.00 a piece with airfare, average cost of meals at 150.00 per day, hotels, transportation, and our different daily adventures. |
The other night, dear As I lay sleeping I dreamed I held you In my arms When I awoke, dear I was mistaken So I hung my head and cried I grew up with the song but didn't remember the second verse. These days I understand it too well. |
I looked up Buddhism vs. Christianity. It was enlightening to actually see the differences. |
And for those who rather not read the Smithsonian article, the History Channel episode that covers Pop Tarts (if you have a cable TV account): https://www.history.com/shows/the-food-that-built-america/season-4/episode-1 |
Yes, the presidential thing! Let's hope we get the best possible result for everyone. |
When I was a teenager I read Shirley MacLaine’s book You Can Get There From Here, in which she devotes a section to time she spent in Bhutan. It fascinated me. While I respect & admire the aspects of Buddhism I know of, I’d be a bad Buddhist. I like earthly human stuff too much 😊 |
How sweet! Your mother must have been a wonderful lady. I bet her memory will be one of those things, if not the best, that you'll cherish forever. |
And making a note or setting an alarm wouldn’t work. I hate the imposition of schedule, for some reason. In fact, I’m doing ten less important different things than what I put off. I’ve learned not to be hard on myself. I now adequately defend my condition (that I’m working on still in therapy and with constant self-analysis with google). You’re Angel of the Morning now. |
I identify. I'm awake at 1:30AM doing something that could just as easily be done tomorrow or next week. But I'm so flighty I'm afraid I'll forget. |
Added, ‘What’s the line limit, Kenneth? Rather, 53.’ For actuarial Porpoises, and adding that, too. |
My farts are just as good. |
I love it so much! Thank you for sharing it! It's genius. |
Should I have added to the second verse. ‘But, Moses eventually did. And some other people.’ |
Yes, you are right, many don't agree with what's been going on for years... About you having no car, I see from your words, you did enjoy driving 😁. I think you do a good job with reality such as it is! I've been writing less, and feel guilty. I've been spending time with my sister watching TV and reading titles or things she needs to know. I'm tired most of the time probably from stress 😬 but trying to keep it together myself. Some days better than others! I wish you well my friend 😎 and stay in touch 🙏🤗 |
Nice touch with the videos! That really helps with envisioning things. |
She does. It is like sometimes I feel her presence very strongly. Of us five children, I was her favorite. She told me that in the last year of her life. I felt sorry for my siblings who, to varying degrees, were not there for her. |
I've enjoyed it in Philadelphia at the Vietnamese restaurant my neurologist suggested. Pho 20. The food in this restaurant is so good and the prices are reasonable. https://menupages.com/pho-20/234-n-10th-st-philadelphia I haven't found a Vietnamese restaurant here in Vegas that I like. I am a fan of Asian dishes and try to have it at least a couple times a month. I found this recipe online and it's quite tasty even my picky granddaughter likes it. Eggroll in a Bowl tonight. Cheap and super easy A bag of coleslaw mix, you can use the regular or Brocolli slaw mix is good too. A tube of pork sausage, whatever flavor you like, except Maple. 1 Tablespoon Garlic or more, if you like Garlic. 1 teaspoon ginger 1 Tablespoon Onion powder 1 teaspoon white pepper 2 Tablespoon Sesame Oil 1/4 cup soy sauce, or more if you prefer. Fry up your sausage, drain it if there's alot of grease. After draining add the Sesame oil, slaw mix, and your dry seasonings. When it Cooks down to your liking add the soy sauce. Serve it over rice or eat it without. Enjoy Mother's Day! No prompt tomorrow! |
She lives on in you, everyday! |
